Preparing for the Journey

Minnesota is a wonderful state, Minneapolis a great town. But for people who often complain of the cold, venturing to a new environment is often talked about but seldom executed.Well, Summer and I are going to be the do'ers and I am going to document this chapter/novel of our lives to keep us connected with our more northern roots. I hope to entertain and inform, and perhaps my writings will stimulate others to follow their dreams/goals whether they are weather related or not. So that's my intro. Let me warn this is my first blog, so let the learning and blogging begin.

Friday - The Pod has been packed and now is in pod land preparding for its Journey down south. The pod arrived on Wednesday @ 4ish and left at Friday @ 9ish AM. If you do Pods prepare for customer service similar to U-haul. The price is high but the convenience is nice in that you don't have to drive that huge gas guzzling truck down windy interstates. We expected at least 2 or 3 full days of loading but if you calculate the hours from above we were a bit rushed. Nonetheless with a very late night and very early wake up the following day, we packed our Pod full. Friday night was spent in our empty condo playing Scategories with my sister and bro-in-law. Saturday morning the canoe was returned from our friend J. Kenyon's house to Eden Prairie. After a goodbye to friends and family, the long but stop-filled journey began.
